Ideon is a personal knowledge-feed app. This policy explains what information Ideon processes and why.
Information stored on your device
Posts created manually in Ideon, including their text, tags, reactions, photos, videos, and audio, are stored locally on your device. Ideon does not use advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking.
AI connector information
When you connect an AI service such as ChatGPT or Grok, Ideon creates a pseudonymous installation identifier. Posts sent by a connected AI service are stored by Ideon's Cloudflare-hosted connector so your device can retrieve them. These posts can include titles, explanations, source names, tags, and images.
Connector posts remain available until you delete the corresponding post in Ideon. Deleting a connector post also requests deletion of its server copy and any image that Ideon stored for it. Authorized AI connections can be disconnected from the Connect screen.
Service providers
Ideon uses Cloudflare to operate its secure connector, store AI-created posts and associated images, and protect the service. Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses as part of providing and securing its infrastructure.
Ideon may retrieve public images from Wikimedia Commons when an AI service requests a relevant public photograph. The selected image is copied into Ideon's storage so the post does not depend on a temporary external link.
How information is used
- Create, synchronize, display, and delete your Ideon posts.
- Authorize AI services that you choose to connect.
- Protect and maintain the connector service.
- Respond to support requests.
Ideon does not sell personal information, serve personalized advertisements, or use your content to train AI models.
Retention and deletion
Local content remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Connector content remains on the service until its Ideon post is deleted. You can revoke an AI connection at any time from the Connect screen.
Children
Ideon is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Ideon evolves. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
